Afterschool Unplugged is Philadelphia Parks & Recreation’s new fun, safe, recreational program. Children ages 6 through 12 may take part. Afterschool Unplugged will operate at Parks & Rec sites around the city from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m., Monday through Friday. The fun begins on a rolling basis after Wednesday, November 4.
Afterschool Unplugged will:
- Complement students’ virtual school day.
- Take inspiration from our popular afterschool offerings.
- Operate under Philadelphia Department of Public Health COVID-19 safety guidelines.
Participants will enjoy:
- An afternoon meal.
- Support from caring staff.
- Hands-on exploration.
- Small group play.
- Physical activities.
Safety Guidelines
Staff will sanitize high-touch surfaces often.
Every day, staff and participants will:
- Wear masks.
- Have their temperature checked.
- Answer health questions.
- Practice social distancing.
- Wash their hands often.
- Stay with the same small group.
