Afterschool Unplugged is Philadelphia Parks & Recreation’s new fun, safe, recreational program. Children ages 6 through 12 may take part. Afterschool Unplugged will operate at Parks & Rec sites around the city from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m., Monday through Friday. The fun begins on a rolling basis after Wednesday, November 4.

 

Afterschool Unplugged will:

  • Complement students’ virtual school day.
  • Take inspiration from our popular afterschool offerings.
  • Operate under Philadelphia Department of Public Health COVID-19 safety guidelines.

Participants will enjoy:

  • An afternoon meal.
  • Support from caring staff.
  • Hands-on exploration.
  • Small group play.
  • Physical activities.

Safety Guidelines

Staff will sanitize high-touch surfaces often.

Every day, staff and participants will:

  • Wear masks.
  • Have their temperature checked.
  • Answer health questions.
  • Practice social distancing.
  • Wash their hands often.
  • Stay with the same small group.
