Enjoy time outdoors as we explore and help preserve Philadelphia’s natural lands

Gain hands-on experience with ecological restoration projects around the city! Join us on the second Saturday of every month to help:

  • Plant trees.
  • Remove invasive plants.
  • Keep our waterways clean.
  • Learn about the City’s ongoing efforts to restore Philadelphia’s natural areas.

Workdays rotate to a different park every month. No experience is necessary. Anyone 16 and over is welcome to join.

This year, we’re keeping Second Saturday events small and socially-distant. This will help reduce the spread of COVID-19. Volunteers must pre-register and wear a mask to take part.

Projects are lead by Philadelphia Parks & Recreation and Fairmount Park Conservancy staff. We provide all the tools and materials, including work gloves.
