Due to the COVID-19 health crisis and the City of Philadelphia’s resulting budget shortfall, the proposed elimination of the Office of the City Representative went into effect on Monday, June 1, 2020.

Please use the information provided below to stay connected to City resources during this transition.

  1. The function of creating ceremonial documents and other services provided by the Office of the City Representative will be determined during the ongoing transition of our services to the Mayor’s Office.
  2. Although there is no replacement funding for the City Representative programs eliminated, three staff members will transition to the Mayor’s Office. For now, the main point of contact for questions about the City Representative functions is:

    Sheila Hess, City Representative
    sheila.hess@phila.gov

Thank you to the many organizations and partners who collaborated with the Office of the City Representative team to make our programs a success. We appreciate your support of our work and look forward to our continued role in promoting our city of Philadelphia.
