Parks & Rec staff distributed 8,000 meals to youth and seniors from Monday, March 16 to Friday, March 20. Meal service at recreation centers has ended, effective Friday, March 20. View a list of partner sites where meals are still available for youth ages Pre-K to 18.

Starting Monday, March 23, three of Parks & Rec older adult centers—Northeast, Mann, and Martin Luther King, Jr.—will remain open for meal distribution only. Grab-and-go meals for seniors will be available between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. each day.

What’s open?
50 recreation centers will remain open from 2 p.m.. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday. These centers will provide grab-and-go meals to young people ages 18 and under. Meals will be distributed at 3 p.m. each afternoon.Parks & Recreation’s six older adult centers will remain open on a regular schedule (8 a.m. to 4 p.m.) for meal service.Parks & Rec’s parks, athletic fields, and trails remain open. What’s closed?
Parks & Rec buildings, playgrounds, athletic courts (basketball, handball, etc.), and restrooms are closed until further notice.This includes environmental education centers, the Carousel House Recreation Center, and ice rinks.
