New this year!

1. Getaway in a PHLASH

Getting to the Getaway just got easier! PHLASH will provide a free shuttle service from Center City to the Fairmount Park Horticulture Center. The shuttle will operate each weekend the Greenhouse is open, from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Shuttles run every 30 minutes with stops at:
  • LOVE Park
  • Philadelphia Museum of Art
  • Please Touch Museum
  • Fairmount Park Horticulture Center

2. Space out at the Getaway

Experience Gaia! This touring artwork by UK artist Luke Jerram allows you to see our planet on the same scale as astronauts–floating in three dimensions. Measuring 10 feet in diameter, Gaia features detailed NASA imagery of the Earth’s surface. A surround-sound composition by award-winning composer Dan Jones will play alongside the sculpture.
