The City of Philadelphia Law Department will host its annual two-day continuing legal education (CLE), Life in the Big City XXV, on July 25-26. This program has been approved by the Pennsylvania Continuing Legal Education Board and will offer 12 credit hours (10 Substantive and 2 Ethics).

We are proud to announce that this year’s featured address will be given by Carl “Tobey” Oxholm III. His address, “Once a Solicitor, Always a Solicitor: I Blame Me on You,” will take place during the lunch program on Thursday, July 25.

Tobey served in the Law Department from November 1984 through February 1989, and 30 years later, he still calls it the best job he ever had. To encourage others, he has funded the Oxholm Summer Internship Program at Drexel Law, through which the Law Department has received a fully paid rising-3L every summer since 2009.
