This spring, Philadelphia Parks & Recreation will host a free tour series at West Fairmount Park’s Horticulture Center. The series will be held on two Saturdays in April and May.

The first part of the free Horticulture Center tour will focus on the conservatory and greenhouses and will be led by tour guide Laura Sweeney. The second part of the tour will feature a special guest speaker, spotlighting a different feature of the grounds each month.

Saturday, May 19 at 11 a.m.
Trees
Learn about the trees and the Centennial History of the grounds with Lori Hayes, Director of Urban Forestry at Philadelphia Parks & Recreation.

Saturday, June 16 at 11 a.m.
Food Forest and Pollinator Garden
Learn about two these two ecologically minded special garden sites with the Penn State Master Gardeners.
