Frequently Asked Questions

Where can I find reports I have submitted or other candidates/committees have submitted?
Answer: You may download the publicly available copies of Campaign Finance Reports at the Public Reports page. These public copies are posted after the submitted report has been processed and the cycle deadline has passed. These copies require Adobe Acrobat Reader to view.

I forgot my login and/or password for submitting my report, what should I do?
Answer: Send an email to Campaign.Finance@Phila.gov with your name and contact information, or call the appropriate phone number on the Support page.

How do I file for more than one candidate/committee?Answer: You need to have a separate registration and report for each candidate or committee. If you're using the Campaign Finance SmartClient to file, then please refer the user's guide on how to set up multiple filers.

What kind of computer do I need to run the Campaign Finance SmartClient?
Answer: The Campaign Finance SmartClient will only run on a Windows 2000, Windows XP, or Windows Vista machine with the latest service pack updates. The Campaign Finance smartClient will not run on an Apple / Macintosh computer.

Can I use Campaign Finance SmartClient on more than one computer?
Answer: Although you can install the SmartClient on as many computers as you wish, you cannot work on the same report from different computers, since all information entered in the SmartClient is stored only on that specific computer. To transfer the information from one computer to another, please see the SmartClient User's Guide to learn more about where the data is stored and how to import/export data.
