Ensuring safe transportation options for all Philadelphians—whether they walk, bike, drive, or ride transit.
Philadelphia’s transportation network includes over 2,500 miles of roadway, 350 bridges, 40 miles of separated bike lanes and sidepaths, 200 miles of trails, 3,000 signalized intersections, and more.
To improve traffic safety and keep Philadelphia moving, the City and partner agencies manage projects to repair, redesign, and improve the network. These projects can range from bridge construction to local traffic calming. There may be improvements to a single intersection or an entire corridor.
Transportation projects are managed by different departments or agencies. To find contact information for an active project, visit the project detail page.
