Parking enforcement

Beginning Monday, April 13, 2026: “No parking” signs will be enforced where posted. Fines will be assessed for violations.

The Department of Sanitation has posted signs to alert motorists to move their vehicles during cleaning times. Mechanical Street Cleaning no-parking rules will be enforced in all service areas.

Residents should follow posted “no parking” signs to allow the mechanical broom to clean the roadways from curb to curb at the scheduled time. Cleaning times on streets are staggered and/or occur on alternate days to minimize inconvenience to residents.

When new service areas are added, residents should anticipate a warning period following the installation of any new signage. Residents should then move their vehicles as indicated.

How residents can help

Residents in the service areas are asked to:

  • Follow posted “no parking” signs.
  • Place trash and recycling collections out on designated day at an authorized location according to the City’s seasonal collection schedule.
  • Place trash and recycling collections out in proper containers or bags to prevent spillage.
  • Only set out household trash for pick up.
  • Sweep sidewalks and gather debris. Do not sweep into the street.

For more information, read other residential trash and recycling rules.
