The following grants are available in the West Philadelphia Empowerment Zone (WPEZ).

Business Assistance Grant

This grant is available to support businesses within the West Philadelphia Empowerment Zone. Existing businesses or start-up businesses can apply. Businesses can receive up to $10,000. This helps create and sustain an environment that cultivates employment.

Grant funds can be used for:

  • Equipment.
  • Fit out.
  • Storefront improvements.
  • Marketing.
  • Professional services.

Financial Literacy Grant

Individuals who live or work within the Empowerment Zones can receive free:

  • Tax preparation services.
  • Financial literacy services.
