WHAT: Fire Prevention Week Proclamation & Major Grant Announcement

WHEN: TOMORROW — Friday, Oct. 6 at 10 a.m.

WHERE: Fireman’s Hall Museum, 147 N. 2nd St., Philadelphia

Mayor Jim Kenney will issue a proclamation declaring October 8-14 as “Fire Prevention Week.” Fire Commissioner Adam Thiel will announce details of a nearly $1 million FEMA grant given to the PFD to purchase and install smoke alarms, including adaptive alarms for residents who are deaf, hard of hearing, blind or have low vision.
