The Office of Arts, Culture and the Creative Economy launches the new Culture in the Courtyard performance series on Wednesday, June 22 at noon in the City Hall Courtyard with a dance performance by Pasión y Arte, Philadelphia’s premier contemporary flamenco company. Pasión’s vibrant flamenco dancers will be accompanied by a live vocalist and guitarist during their hour-long performance in the City Hall Courtyard.
Culture in the Courtyard is a new outdoor performances series produced by the Office of Arts, Culture and the Creative Economy that will serve as a showcase of Philadelphia arts organizations and performers, from youth groups to professional ensembles. The performances, which will range from dance to theatre to music to circus arts, will be held in the City Hall Courtyard on Wednesdays at noon and will be free to the public to enjoy. During the warm weather months, the Culture in the Courtyard performance series will be expanded to include evening performances along with the lunchtime performances that will be held through Fall 2016.
Television crews and photographers are invited to cover the event. A media area for camera crews and photographers is designated in front of the stage.
DIRECTIONS: Please go to the City Hall Courtyard, which can be accessed through any of the portal corridors at City Hall. The performance will be held outdoors.
