Mayor Kenney will present a City Proclamation to the American Kidney Fund for their support of patients suffering from kidney disease, health education initiatives and prevention efforts. This year’s event in Philadelphia will feature free kidney health screenings, interactive fitness demonstrations, local entertainment, healthy cooking/fitness demonstrations, kids’ activities and healthy food samples.

2:30 PM Delaware Deepening Project Press Conference
Mayor Kenney will join U.S. Senator Bob Casey, PRPA Board Chair Jerry Sweeney, State Representative Bill Keller and ILA 1291 President Boise Butler at this press event highlighting Casey’s eight-year effort to secure federal funding to make this possible. The Project will allow larger ships to come into the Port of Philadelphia which would add an estimated 2.5 million tons of cargo.
