PHILADELPHIA – Today, Mayor Jim Kenney welcomed Navigate, a Wayne-based firm that recently opened a Center City office at 1650 Arch Street. Navigate is expected to grow to 80 employees in the next year with approximately 30 of those employees to be based at its 2,200 square foot downtown office. The company anticipates that it will create many new jobs in the next few years based on its growth trajectory.

“Fast-growing, locally based companies that are committed to the region like Navigate represent an important part of the Philadelphia area’s growth story,” said Mayor Kenney. “We are thrilled that Navigate has chosen Philadelphia as its new home and look forward to the addition of this great company to our thriving business community.”

The Philadelphia Commerce Department is actively recruiting suburban firms as one of many strategies that the Department pursues to attract more businesses and jobs to Philadelphia.

Companies that have chosen to open an office in Philadelphia have pointed to the city’s abundant talent, ease of access and lifestyle amenities for their workers and clients as well as the increasing vibrancy of the city as reasons for coming to Philadelphia.

Navigate is an example of a recent trend of suburban companies that are opening offices in Philadelphia in order to attract top talent and be part of the city’s growing business community. Other suburban companies that have chosen to do business within Philadelphia include Saxby’s Coffee headquarters, Honeygrow headquarters, Bentley Systems, Fiberlink, Eisner Amper, and Integrichain..
