Philadelphia- Philadelphia Parks & Recreation Commissioner Kathryn Ott Lovell and a representative from the Office of Philadelphia City Council President Darrell Clarke will join the Down the Line and Beyond Foundation to unveil newly refinished tennis courts at Penrose Recreation Center, where Down the Line has started hosting its tennis education clinics for local children.
The courts are part of a city-wide initiative by the organization to re-build abandoned tennis courts to serve as active neighborhood centers. This redevelopment was a joint collaboration made possible by the Philadelphia Department of Parks & Recreation, Down the Line and Beyond, Grote Construction Inc., and the Ed Snider Family Foundation.
WHAT: City officials will join community members to host a dedication ceremony celebrating the new tennis courts at Penrose Recreation Center installed for community use and Down the Line and Beyond programming.
