Philadelphia- Philadelphia Parks & Recreation Commissioner Kathryn Ott Lovell will join city health and environmental leaders from CHOP, Schuylkill Center, and the U.S. Forest Service to promote a new health prescription program, NaturePHL. NaturePHL aims to increase children’s outdoor play time by using nature prescriptions prescribed by CHOP pediatricians, increasing individual health and wellness spent at local Philadelphia parks.

The program will be integrated into CHOP’s electronic health record system at two CHOP Primary Care Centers:  Cobbs Creek and Roxborough. Doctors will use the program website to help families identify parks near them with their desired amenities and make plans to spend time outdoors.
