Includes surveys with description of lines, name of owner of lot surveyed, date, and some drafts of plots surveyed; surveys of parts of Sixth Street, Ridge Road, Broad Street, Pennsylvania Avenue and Camac Street including date surveyed; memorandum of marking stones along streets and roads; copy of courses and distances of Germantown and Perkiomen Turnpike Road "as surveyed by Robert Brook in 1808," copied in 1847; survey of the same dated 1847; water levels taken at Schuylkill river, Fairmount Dam, and Wissahickon Creek, date, name of person for whom level taken, and in some cases, name of person measuring water level. Inserted is letter dated 1833 addressed to President and Managers of Penntown and Northern Liberties relative to grading. Record of water levels also are included for the years 1856, 1857, and 1860.
