The Neighborhood Slow Zone Program was announced in 2018. The program works with communities to co-design the traffic calming solutions to address the needs of their neighborhood.
Slow Zones are groups of residential streets with a 20 MPH speed limit and traffic calming improvements. City staff, planners, and engineers work with residents through public Residents also gain a better understanding of engineering decisions and the changes to their streets.
The Tenth Memorial Neighborhood Slow Zone consists of the area between Ridge Avenue/21st Street (west), Cecil B. Moore Avenue (north), 16th Street (east), and Girard Avenue (south).
