Educational Nominating Panel

What we do

The Educational Nominating Panel solicits candidates for the Board of Education, considers applicants, and provides recommendations to the mayor. The mayor appoints members to the board.

As outlined in the City Charter, the Educational Nominating Panel is appointed by the mayor. The mayor convenes the Educational Nominating Panel when board vacancies must be filled or a new mayoral term initiates a new board appointment process.
