The seventh edition of the Procurement Forecast is now live! It includes 150 contracting opportunities across 13 departments and agencies. This represents over $2 billion in anticipated contracting over the next 12-18 months. These opportunities cover many types of work and industries. Projects range from roads and bridges to supporting climate resilience.

The Procurement Forecast helps businesses plan ahead. It is produced by the Infrastructure Solutions Team (IST). This edition is being released during Maximizing Economic Development Week (MED Week).

The Procurement Forecast launched in 2023. It has helped connect businesses with early information about upcoming City contracting opportunities. The Forecast gives businesses more time to solidify potential projects. It helps them prepare competitive proposals, build partnerships, and secure financing. This helps to support the City’s mission of creating economic opportunity for all. The Forecast is also a best practice by the Partners for Public Good (PPG) and Equity in Infrastructure Project (EIP).

Looking Ahead

The Procurement Forecast is updated twice a year in the Fall and Spring. These updates help businesses learn about upcoming City contracting opportunities early.

The IST is working to make the Procurement Forecast available online by 2030. The goal is to add it to the City’s new procurement platform. This will help make upcoming contracting opportunities more accessible. It will also further support businesses seeking to work with the City.
