Philadelphia – The City of Philadelphia’s Office of Public Safety announced the application period is now open for four prevention and intervention-focused grants. Those grants are the Targeted Community Investment Grant (TCIG), the Community Capacity Grant (CCG), the Community Expansion Grant (CEG), [those three are collectively known as the City’s Anti-Violence Community Partnership Grants], and the Safety Through Care grant (STC) [formerly the Overdose Prevention & Community Healing fund (OPCH)].

“Under the leadership and direction of Mayor Parker, in partnership with City Council, our grants program funds organizations on the ground, in our neighborhoods doing the work to improve public safety, increase opportunities, and build a strong sense of community in the areas most impacted by gun violence and substance misuse,” said Chief Public Safety Director Adam Geer. “We are thrilled to offer a common application for all four grants programs this year, an effort to simplify the application process and get resources and to the Philadelphians who need them as quickly as possible in the next funding cycle.”

Community-based organizations in Philadelphia engaged in prevention or intervention work focused on violence or substance misuse can apply for grants from $10,000 to $1 million. Eligible applicants include but are not limited to individuals, non-profits, fiscally-sponsored organizations, LLCs, S-Corps, and B-Corps.

The common application for all four grants opens Friday, August 28, 2026. The application period closes on September 28, 2026, at 5:00 PM.
