Registration for the Philly Midnight Run is now closed and will not accept new participants!

PHILADELPHIA –  The City is advising residents of road closures and parking restrictions in the Parkway District and Center City ahead of the Philly Midnight Run on Saturday, July 25.

Event Details

The Philly Midnight Run, now in its 12th year, will take place on Saturday, July 25, beginning at Eakins Oval in front of the Philadelphia Museum of Art.

Opening ceremony and warm-ups will begin at 11 p.m. The race will begin at 11:30 p.m. for all participants. The event will conclude at 1 a.m.

Event Course

The course will take participants south on Benjamin Franklin Parkway to Logan Circle. Participants will go around Logan Circle and head back north on Benjamin Franklin Parkway, ending at Eakins Oval.

Road closures and detours will be in place Saturday evening. Motorists should expect traffic impacts and delays in the surrounding areas and are encouraged to use alternate routes and allow additional travel time. Full details on the scheduled closures are available below.

Road Closures

The following streets will be closed from 8 p.m. until approximately 2 a.m. on Sunday, July 26:

  • Eakins Oval, in front of the Philadelphia Museum of Art

The following streets will be closed from 9 p.m. until approximately 2 a.m. on Sunday, July 26:

  • 1800-2400 Benjamin Franklin Parkway (including cross streets)
    • 18th Street will be open for cross traffic
    • Pennsylvania Avenue Open to Traffic as Normal

  • Kelly Drive Inbound will be detoured to Fairmount Avenue

  • Spring Garden Bridge (Local Access to I76 Ramp)

The streets listed above will be posted as “Temporary No Parking” zones. Motorists must adhere to “Temporary No Parking” signs.

Additional streets in the vicinity of Benjamin Franklin Parkway may be closed or detoured by Philadelphia Police should conditions warrant.

Public Transportation

SEPTA route detours will be put into place and service is subject to change. Customers should refer to System Status regularly for updates to routing throughout the day.
