Mayor Parker to Join Colin Kaepernick for Student Literacy Celebration

Time: 10:00 a.m.

Location: The School District of Philadelphia, 400 North Broad Street, Philadelphia, PA

The Mayor will join students and educator leaders for a literacy celebration with author, activist, and former NFL quarterback Colin Kaepernick. Students will share their experiences using Kaepernick’s Lumi AI storytelling platform and be recognized for their writing achievements.

Mayor Parker to Attend Healthcare Workers Union Leadership Swearing-In Ceremony

Time: 5:00 p.m.

Location: The Lounge, 1735 Market Street, Philadelphia, PA

The Mayor will attend the District 1199C swearing-in ceremony honoring newly elected union officers, Executive Board members, and delegates. The event recognizes worker leaders elected to represent their colleagues on matters affecting wages, working conditions, and workplace rights.
