PHILADELPHIA — The City of Philadelphia has launched Weeknights Live, a year-round program designed to energize early-week evenings with live performances from local artists at hospitality businesses in participating areas across the city. Building on Mayor Cherelle L. Parker’s vision for a more connected Philadelphia, Weeknights Live expands the successful pilot at participating hotels on Tuesdays to now include Mondays and Wednesdays in neighborhood commercial corridors. The program is administered by the Department of Commerce’s Nighttime Economy Unit.

“From Center City to our neighborhood commercial corridors, we are building a more connected Philadelphia through the Weeknights Live program,” said Mayor Cherelle L. Parker. “Our local artists enrich the quality of life across our city. By showcasing live performances at participating businesses, we support artists’ livelihoods and strengthen neighborhood economic vitality. With this expanded program, we deliver creativity and opportunity, bringing people, organizations, and businesses together for shared success.”

“Philadelphia has long been fueled by musical excellence and artistic expression generating lasting economic and social impacts,” said Karen Fegely, Acting Director, Department of Commerce. “This program highlights the strengths of our artists and hospitality businesses throughout the city. During the 16-week pilot phase, 135 artists were paid to perform at participating hotels. Alongside our partners, we are dedicated to continuously building our 24-hour city with a thriving nighttime economy that drives tourism, hospitality, and world-class arts and culture.”

“Our nighttime economy team is proud to build on the pilot’s success and launch Weeknights Live, as a year-round program, starting March 30, 2026,” said Salim Wilson, Deputy Director, Office of Business Success, Department of Commerce. “From the participating businesses along neighborhood commercial corridors to the hotels in Center City, this program is a team effort. We encourage everyone to attend and enjoy Weeknights Live throughout the year.”

“Mayor Parker is building a government that everyone can see, touch, and feel. Businesses and artists interested in joining the program are welcome to reach out to us,” said Raheem Manning, Senior Director, Nighttime Economy, Office of Business Success, Department of Commerce.  “Our team is working closely with local organizations that serve the areas where we bring the Weeknights Live program. Special thanks to Creative Philadelphia, Nighttime Economy Advisory Council, East Passyunk Business Improvement District, University City District, and the Baltimore Avenue Business Association that are key partners in our local outreach strategies.”
