The Philadelphia Department of Prisons (PDP) is pleased to share its 2025 Annual Report, offering the people of Philadelphia a closer look at the work taking place every day across our facilities. The report highlights a year of meaningful progress, including continued growth in our correctional staff, strategic investments in state-of-the-art security, and new initiatives designed to strengthen safety, professionalism, and accountability throughout the Department.

Readers will also find updates on the Department’s expanding efforts in behavioral health care, substance use disorder treatment, and comprehensive reentry services that help prepare incarcerated individuals for a successful return to the community. These initiatives reflect the PDP’S ongoing commitment to addressing the complex challenges that exist within correctional environments while supporting the well-being of both staff and those in our custody.

We invite residents, community leaders, advocates, and partner organizations to explore the report and learn more about the progress being made. Just as importantly, we encourage you to become a partner with the PDP as we continue working to strengthen and improve the delivery of corrections in the City of Philadelphia. Together, we can build a safer, healthier, and more responsive system for everyone we serve.
