PHILADELPHIA – The Streets Department announces parking restrictions along South Broad Street between Washington Avenue and Oregon Avenue to begin at 7 a.m. tomorrow Tuesday, February 3, 2026.

Vehicles must be moved ahead of a Lifting Operation involving the excavation, loading, and removal of snow currently pushed back to the curb. This operation will involve dozens of vehicles, including excavators and loaders, which may temporarily disrupt traffic. Free off-street parking will be available at parking lot U near Citizens Bank Ballpark between 7 a.m. and 6 p.m. tomorrow, Tuesday, February 3. All vehicles parked in lot U must be removed by 6 p.m.

The Streets Department urges everyone traveling near this lifting operation, and others taking place across Philadelphia, to plan extra travel time, slow down, and help keep our crews safe by giving them plenty of space to do their work.

For Lifting Operations citywide, the Streets Department is deploying over 300 vehicles, front-end loaders, and excavators organized into 16 teams. This work involves excavating snow from narrow roadways, collecting it on nearby primary streets, loading it into dump trucks, and then transporting it to snow storage sites across the city. These operations began midday Sunday, January 26, as snowfall began to slow and have continued every day since.
