Philadelphia Parks & Recreation announces the date for the 2026 Independence Blue Cross Broad Street Run, kicking off its 47th season.
The iconic race will take place on Sunday, May 3, 2026. Registration opens Sunday, February 1 at 12:01 a.m. and closes on Friday, February 13 at 11:59 p.m. Register for the lottery on the official race website.
The nation’s largest 10-mile road race kicks off at Broad Street and Somerville Avenue at 7 a.m. and concludes at the iconic Philadelphia Navy Yard.
Registration Details:
- Opening: February 1, 2026 at 12:01 a.m.
- Closing: February 13, 2026 at 11:59 p.m.
- Fee: $65
The race will accommodate up to 40,000 runners. Participants will be notified by email the week of February 16 about whether they’ve secured a race bib. Participants will be selected through a lottery system or may choose to run on behalf of a charity partner, including the American Cancer Society, American Association for Cancer Research, Students Run Philly Style, Back on My Feet, and the Fairmount Park Conservancy. Philadelphia Parks & Recreation anticipates another sellout race in 2026.
