Q: Why is auditing Internal Affairs investigations an integral part of police oversight?
A: It allows for us to collect data that may reveal patterns of need (ex., policy/directive changes) that can be improved upon in a way that will have a positive effect on the city Philadelphia and all the communities that lift it up.

Q: What drew you to this role in police oversight?
A: The opportunity to critically analyze policing in Philadelphia in an effort to create change in the way law enforcement functions within our city and nationally.

Q: What is the most rewarding part of your job so far?
A: Being able to assist those who have experienced misconduct by a member of PPD, in having their voice heard in the CAP process.

Q: If you could switch roles with anyone at CPOC, who would it be and why?
A: Probably Outreach, they do important work going out into Philadelphia communities in an effort to inform, lift voices up, and provide resource connection.

Q: What do you enjoy doing outside of work?

A: Exploring the array of art that exists in its many forms throughout the city whether it be physical art, music, etc.

Q: What is your favorite part of Philadelphia?
A: The connectedness that this city emanates across all communities that can only be felt by being here.
