PHILADELPHIA – The Mayor’s Office of Philly Stat 360 is launching seven new performance-tracking metrics, a significant expansion of the website  which builds on Philly Stat 360’s progress since the website’s launch in December 2024. This update deepens Mayor Parker’s commitment to government transparency, accountability, and data-driven decision-making.

“The City is excited to unveil these new ways to interact with local municipal government,” said Mayor Cherelle L. Parker. “These new, additional public metrics, will make it easier for residents to access information like how we’re helping businesses operating legally, increasing transparency with open data, and bridging the digital divide through our digital inclusion programs. The use of data not only helps City departments and offices to increase transparency, it also allows us to make enhancements in our departments based of what information the data provides.”

The newly released metrics include three crucial indicators from the Department of Behavioral Health and Intellectual disAbility Services (DBHIDS), two from the Office of Innovation and Technology, and one each for L&I and Sanitation:

  • Language Access Services: This metric tracks the City’s efforts to ensure equitable access to services for all residents, regardless of their primary language, highlighting the Mayor Parker’s commitment to inclusivity.
  • Mental Health First Aid: By tracking the number of individuals trained in mental health first aid, the city aims to build a more supportive community, better equipped to recognize and respond to mental health challenges.
  • Infant Toddler Early Development Intervention: This metric monitors the reach and effectiveness of programs designed to support the crucial early developmental stages of Philadelphia’s youngest residents, fostering a strong foundation for future success.
  • SWEEP Citations: This metric shows the number of Sanitation citations issued. The SWEEP program helps educate residents and businesses about sanitation rules and making sure they follow them.
  • BEE Investigations: The Business Education and Enforcement (BEE) Program helps businesses in areas with multiple complaints from Philadelphians operate safely and legally. It provides educational materials and support, followed by inspections to ensure compliance with safety and licensing regulations.
  • Open Data: This metric tracks the number of open datasets released by the City of Philadelphia and shows the number of City-provided visualizations associated with open data releases.
  • Digital Inclusion: Tracks the number of digital devices distributed to people who don’t have them as part of the City’s PHLConnectED initiatives. This is crucial to bridging the gap of digital literacy and device access.

“Transparency and data are at the core of effective governance,” said Kristin Bray, Director of Philly Stat 360. “This release represents the latest expansion of our public dashboard, and our ongoing dedication to providing the public with a clear, accessible view of how our city government is performing in areas that directly impact their lives. By making this data available, we empower residents to understand our progress and hold us accountable as we strive to improve the services we deliver to all Philadelphians.”

The integration of these metrics into the Philly Stat 360 dashboard reinforces the City’s proactive approach to identifying areas of strength and opportunities for improvement. Residents are encouraged to explore these and other performance indicators on the Philly Stat 360 website and leave feedback on how we’re doing. Visit phila.gov/PS360 for more.
