Overnight Closures for Penrose Roundabout Roadway Resurfacing Work

Check for instructional signage and use caution when driving through work zones

PHILADELPHIA – The Department of Streets announced overnight roadway resurfacing work as part of the Penrose Roundabout Project to occur overnight Wednesday, May 7 and Thursday, May 8 between 7 p.m. and 5 a.m. No closures are planned during the day Thursday, May 8.

During the overnight resurfacing work there will be partial lane closures. The City and its contractor will attempt to keep partial access through the intersection while resurfacing the approaches, however, a full closure of the intersection will be required when resurfacing the roundabout itself. During these times the traveling public is encouraged to utilize alternate routes such as Pattison Avenue, Broad Street, and Oregon Avenue.
