The Mayor’s Office of Civic Engagement and Volunteer Service (MOCEVS) is hosting virtual Open Houses to share information about the Serve Philadelphia VISTA Corps. As MOCEVS opens VISTA applications, we want to share how a year of service is both a way to support Philadelphians and to develop one’s career.

Serve Philadelphia VISTA members are AmeriCorps members who serve full-time working within City departments. While each VISTA works on unique projects, all members work to fight the injustices and causes of poverty.

But what exactly does that mean? What does the day-to-day work of a VISTA look like? And how do I apply?

These are exactly the kind of questions we look forward to answering at our upcoming Open Houses. We hope you will join us for any of the upcoming sessions:

  • Wednesday, February 1 from 12:00 – 1:00 pm
  • Thursday, March 2 from 12:00 – 1:00 pm
  • Tuesday, March 28 from 12:00 – 1:00 pm
