1PM Mayor Kenney to Speak at AAPI Mural Series Dedication
The Mayor will deliver remarks at an event to celebrate the completion of “Unity in Diversity” a new mural inspired by Philadelphia’s Indonesian and Southeast Asian communities. “Unity in Diversity” is the first of a series of three projects that will be developed in collaboration with Mural Arts’ Porch Light Department, the Mayor’s Commission for Asian Pacific American Affairs,  and the Office of Immigrant Affairs that intend to recognize  the AAPI community in Philadelphia following pandemic-induced Anti-Asian racism across the country.
