The Mayor’s Office of Civic Engagement and Volunteer Service (MOCEVS) invites you to its 9th annual Mayor’s Day of Service Recognition award ceremony and volunteer service fair. We like to think of it as the “Oscars of volunteerism and national service” as this award ceremony “rolls out the red carpet” to honor Philadelphians that have made a positive impact in their communities through national and volunteer service.

In order to prioritize everyone’s health and safety, both the award ceremony and volunteer service fair will be hosted online.

Each year, Philadelphia joins more than 4,250 cities, counties, and tribal areas to celebrate the impact of our volunteers and National Service members. Our office received over 250 nominations for the four award categories, which truly speaks to the high impact volunteers and national service members had across our city last year. We are more excited than ever to celebrate three honorees from each category as we elevate all service throughout the award ceremony.

In the spirit of National Volunteer Month, we will host a volunteer service fair two days after the award ceremony. Join us at the award ceremony on April 6 to get inspired and then come back on April 8 to learn about volunteer opportunities and other ways you can get involved and give back from the comfort of your home.
