WHERE: Fireman’s Hall Museum, 147 N. 2nd St., Philadelphia

Firefighter Sean Dugan will be honored for rescuing a baby from a burning car while off-duty earlier this year. Paramedic Capt. April Smallwood will be honored for her role in helping to protect PFD members from COVID-19 and other infectious diseases. The PFD will also officially recognize Fire Prevention Week (Oct. 4-10).

NOTES: Due to public health restrictions and limited space in the museum, WPVI (Channel 6) will provide TV stations with video via the pool feed; other media outlets that wish to attend are asked to RSVP. Please contact Kathy Matheson to arrange interviews of Firefighter Dugan, Capt. Smallwood or the mother of the rescued child.

The event will be live-streamed on Twitter at @PhillyFireDept. Video of the ceremony will be posted later on the Fireman’s Hall YouTube channel.
