When: Every Monday, 2 p.m. to 3 p.m.

Pick up free, fresh fruits and vegetables provided by Philabundance. This event is held outside of the school, weather permitting.
What: Alain Locke School’s pop-up pantry
When: Every Tuesday, 2 p.m. to 4 p.m.
Where: Alain Locke School, 4550 Haverford Ave., 19104
Stop by the Alain Locke pop-up pantry on Tuesdays for free, healthy groceries! This pantry is run by the People’s Emergency Center and features perishable and nonperishable food. Drexel’s Eat Right Philly program also hosts cooking demonstrations between 2 and 4 p.m..
What: Fresh For All Wednesdays at Dobbins CTE High School
When: Every Wednesday, 12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m.
Where: Murrell Dobbins High School , 2150 W Lehigh Ave., 19132
Pick up free and fresh fruits and vegetables. This weekly produce stand is operated by Philabundance and held in front of the school, weather permitting.
What: FAWN Food Pantry at Tilden Middle School
When: Every Friday, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Where: William Tilden Middle School, 6601 Elmwood Ave., 19142
Stop by Tilden for free and healthy groceries! The FAWN Food Pantry is run by Turning Points for Children. Stop by and pick up food items including bread and canned goods.
What: Share Produce Stand at F.S. Edmonds
When: Every Second Friday, 2:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.
Where: F.S. Edmonds Elementary School, 8025 Thouron Ave., 19150
Stop by and shop for fruits and vegetables at this affordable farm stand provided by the Share Food Program. Cash, credit, and EBT/SNAP benefits are accepted.
What: Get Fit Saturdays at Murrell Dobbins CTE High School
When: Every Saturday, 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Where: Murrell Dobbins High School, 2150 W Lehigh Ave., 19132
Get Fit Saturdays are back for the school year! Come out to Dobbins on Saturdays for healthy activities for the whole family. This weekly fitness and fun event includes tai chi, yoga, youth basketball, babysitter certification, and more! Special thanks to Health Partners Plans for supporting zumba.
What: Sign up to volunteer with the Philly Reading Coaches

Have you heard? Philly Reading Coaches (PRC)’s biggest year yet is underway. Last year the program launched with 20 volunteer sites. This year 28 sites are launching throughout the city.
Philly Reading Coaches (PRC), part of Philadelphia’s Out of School Time Initiative, helps children grow more comfortable with reading by pairing them with volunteers for fun, one-on-one reading sessions for at least one hour a week. Each child also receives 25 free books to take home so they can continue discovering the joys of reading.

It’s the second Super Saturday of the year! Join the Gompers community for healthy activities and educational opportunities. Shop the free clothing closet. Students can take part in sports programming in the gym, or join Gompers staff for tutoring.
