WHAT: Smoke alarm installations

WHERE: 2900 block of Rorer Street

PFD members and the Red Cross will install life-saving smoke alarms and distribute safety literature on the 2900 block of Rorer Street, where a fatal fire occurred earlier this year.

The Philadelphia Fire Department received a $1 million grant from FEMA to install 30,000 smoke alarms in Philly. If you know city residents in need, ask them to contact Philly 311. The PFD also has adaptive alarms for the deaf and hard-of-hearing.
