600 block of 59th Street
PFD members and the Red Cross will install life-saving smoke alarms and distribute safety literature on the 5700 & 5800 blocks of Walton Streets and the 600 block of 59th Street in Cobbs Creek.
The Philadelphia Fire Department received a $1 million grant from FEMA to install 30,000 smoke alarms in Philly. If you know city residents in need, ask them to contact Philly 311. The PFD also has adaptive alarms for the deaf and hard-of-hearing.
