WHERE: 5500 block of Crowson Street and 3100 block of Potter Street

PFD members and the Red Cross will install life-saving smoke alarms and distribute safety literature on the 5500 block of Crowson Street and the 3100 block of Potter Street, where fatal fires recently occurred.

The Philadelphia Fire Department received a $1 million grant from FEMA to install 30,000 smoke alarms in Philly. If you know city residents in need, ask them to contact Philly 311. The PFD also has adaptive alarms for the deaf and hard-of-hearing.
