Now that the days are longer and the weather is warming up, some of our favorite seasonal activities are back! Here’s a preview of what’s coming up this spring at Park & Rec sites.

12th annual Philly Spring Cleanup

If you mean it, clean it! The 12th annual Philly Spring Cleanup is the largest citywide cleanup of the year, and you can help to make it a success. Choose from about 300 projects all over the city to lend a hand to. Many projects take place at Parks & Rec facilities and parks.

Subaru Cherry Blossom Festival

April 6-14

Subaru Cherry Blossom Festival is back for its twenty-second year. The annual spring celebration includes a variety of events, ranging from sushi making to live performances. The festival’s centerpiece event is Sakura Sunday, a day-long celebration of Japanese culture, which will take place on April 14 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Fairmount Park Horticulture Center.

Pricing

Day-of entry for adults is $15; children 12 and under are free.

Sakura Sunday Early Bird tickets: $10, now through March 31

Sakura Sunday Advance tickets: $12, April 1-13

Sakura Sunday Day-of tickets: $15, April 14

Parks on Tap

April 24-Sept 29

Parks on Tap, Philly’s traveling beer garden that gives back, will return for its fourth season, beginning April 24. At this dog-friendly event, attendees can enjoy fresh food, beer, wine, and non-alcoholic beverages, too! This season of Parks on Tap will be 23 weeks and long stops at 23 different parks.

Parks on Tap is a pay-as-you-go event.

Love Your Park Week

May 11-19

More than 100 locations

Love Your Park Week is an annual celebration of service and fun in parks all across Philadelphia. This year, Love Your Park Week will take place from May 11-19, 2019 with the kick-off service day on May 11. Volunteer registration will begin on April 11.
