The Mayor will deliver remarks at the largest King Day event in the nation, which will focus this year on the impact of gun violence in our communities, particularly on youth.

10:30AM Mayor Kenney to Attend Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. MLK Day of Service Event
The Mayor will attend this day of service event which will include a variety of projects to help beautify Paul Robeson High School. The event will also include a resource fair which will provide information about the college application process, healthy living, and more.

The Mayor will deliver remarks at this annual bell ringing ceremony in honor of the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. and his vision for America.

1:30PM Mayor Kenney to Attend City Year MLK Day of Service
The Mayor will attend this event at Kensington High School where over 1,000 volunteers will paint murals to help beautify the school’s interior for more than 600 students.

2PM Mayor Kenney to Speak at Louise Williams Bishop MLK 26th Annual Celebration
The Mayor will deliver remarks at this event in honor of the life, work, and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King. The Mayor will also present the First Annual Peace and Love Award to Philadelphia Eagles player Malcolm Jenkins.
