WHERE: 1200 block of Cardeza St.

PFD members and the Red Cross will install life-saving smoke alarms and distribute safety literature on the 1200 block of Cardeza Street, where a fire death occurred earlier this month.

The Philadelphia Fire Department received a $1 million grant from FEMA last year to install 30,000 smoke alarms in Philly. If you know city residents in need, ask them to contact Philly 311. The PFD also has adaptive alarms for the deaf and hard-of-hearing.
