After a week of rain, we’re ready for some weekend sunshine! The forecast looks sunny and bright as we head into a weekend of movies, concerts, and other summertime activities.

Shakespeare in the Park

Performances in Public Spaces presents Shakespeare in Clark Park all weekend long, with a spectacular production of Twelfth Night. The show embraces the musical bent of the script as a glam rock celebration of love, music, and identity.

Food Trust Farmers’ Market

Parks & Rec hosts this farmers’ market in partnership with the Food Trust to provide fresh, nutritious food to Philly! Visit this market each Saturday.

Jazz in the 9th Concert Series

Councilwoman Cherelle L. Parker, in collaboration with Olney Culture Lab, will host the Jazz in the 9th Summer Concert Series 2018. This concert, co-hosted by the Tookany-Tacony/Frankford Watershed Partnership, will feature Artístas y Músicos Latino Americanos’ Latin Jazz Trio.

When: Saturday, July 28, from 4 p.m.-6 p.m.

Young Elvis Show

Come out for a fun performance of a Young Elvis Show, from Jeff Krick, Jr. This show is part of a summer-long schedule of music at Gorgas Park. Bring some chairs or a blanket and come on out for a fun day of live music!

Let’s Rock Recess at The Oval+

Come out to The Oval+ for Sunday Family Funday, featuring a kids’ DJ Dance party in the beer garden at 2 p.m.. There will be food trucks, games, and large-scale mural installations for all to enjoy.
