PHILADELPHIA – Mayor Kenney released the following statement upon the U.S. Supreme Court’s ruling today to uphold President Trump’s travel ban:

“I am extremely disappointed in the U.S. Supreme Court’s decision to uphold what history will show is a terrible policy. The limited review given to the policy is an affront to basic human rights and dignity. The City remains adamantly opposed to the travel ban, and my administration is determined to fight for a non-discriminatory immigration system that does not take into account one’s race or religion. I want to emphasize that Philadelphia remains open to people of all faiths and nationalities.”
