Many immigrants in Philadelphia are eligible to become U.S. citizens. Yet, many lack information about the naturalization process or cannot afford legal help.

Take Action Philly and the New Americans Campaign (NAC) have joined forces to expand naturalization efforts across the City.

NAC partners are hosting FREE events to assist legal permanent residents. There are two steps to the process:

  1. Clients must first attend a citizenship screening to go over their citizenship case.
  2. Eligible candidates will be referred to a citizenship clinic to fill out their application with an attorney.

Find out if you’re eligible for citizenship by attending one of the screenings listed below. Please bring your Green Card and passport to your screening (if possible).

Pre-registration is not required to attend.

The City of Philadelphia is proud to support six non-profit organizations – HIAS PA, Catholic Social Services, Esperanza Immigration Legal Services, the Southeast Asian Mutual Assistance Associations Coalition (SEAMAAC), the African Cultural Alliance of North America (ACANA) and the Welcoming Center for New Pennsylvanians – holding citizenship clinics through NAC.
