Michael A. Nutter, Mayor
Mission:
To provide an administrative and operational system inclusive of industry Best Practices through which effective and efficient reintegration services are delivered resulting in the successful transition of individuals from Federal, State and local jails back into local Philadelphia communities, effectively reducing the rate of recidivism.
In an effort to ensure that we conduct a comprehensive review process of organizations who serve ex-offenders, The Mayor's Office for the Reentry of Ex-Offenders 2008 Request for Qualifications submission deadline has been extended to Tuesday, October 14, 2008 at 4:00PM.
Please note: We thank all of you who worked diligently to ensure the submission of your qualifications by the initial September 30, 2008 deadline and those organizations will be treated with priority throughout the credentialing process. Click here for RFP.
Welcome to the Mayor's Office for the Reentry of Ex-offenders! This website has been designed to provide ex-offenders and their families with information regarding agencies, programs, services, employment opportunities and social events that will ultimately assist in the reintegration process.
Mayor Nutter realizes that his commitment to improving public safety can serve as the catalyst to change the culture and perceptions necessary to promote successful ex-offender workforce reintegration. More importantly, he recognizes that it will take the collaboration of strong regional organizational partners to achieve his overall vision for a safer Philadelphia and solicits your participation to help him achieve this objective.
