Compliant bag vendors

These suppliers carry reusable or paper checkout bags that meet the City’s plastic bag ban requirements.

Bag requirements

Businesses may provide reusable bags and paper bags provided that they meet the following requirements.

Reusable bags are permitted if they are:

Made of nylon, cotton, cloth, polyester, or another material that is specifically designed and manufactured for multiple reuses.
Made of plastic – but not through a blown-film extrusion process, more than 2.25 mil thick, and specifically designed and manufactured for multiple reuses.

Paper bags are permitted if they:

Contain at least 40 percent post-consumer recycled content.
Contain no old-growth fiber.
Prominently display:
- The word “recyclable” or “recycled content.”
- The percentage of post-consumer recycled content.
- The manufacturer’s name.

Compliant vendors

These vendors sell bags that meet the City’s criteria for reusable and paper bags. Make sure to select bag models that meet the requirements.
