Rasheia Johnson, City Treasurer was appointed on January 19, 2016. Prior to her appointment, Ms. Johnson worked at Siebert Brandford Shank as Senior Vice President and head of its Philadelphia office. Ms. Johnson has over 15 years of experience in government and public finance. In public finance, she has worked in the capacities of investment banker, financial advisor and issuer. She also worked in the municipal finance department at Loop Capital Markets in Philadelphia and previously worked for Public Financial Management in Philadelphia and the City of Philadelphia as Assistant to the Director of Finance for Debt Management. Throughout her career, Ms. Johnson has managed over $7 billion in transactions and has provided complex technical and analytical expertise for a variety of issuers. She has worked with multiple issuers including the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, the States of Maryland, Virginia and North Carolina, the Cities of Philadelphia, Pittsburgh, New Haven, Wilmington, Greensboro and Columbia, as well as Allegheny County, Ocean County, the Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission, the Philadelphia School District, the Southeastern Pennsylvania Transportation Authority, the Pittsburgh School District, and the Pennsylvania Housing Finance Agency.
