Philacan Pilot Program

Philacan Pilot Program interest form

The Philacan Pilot Program lends City-owned trash cans to residents for increased trash storage in front of their homes. You must sign up to participate in the program.

Participation requirements

  • This is an opt-in program. You must sign up to participate.
  • 75% of households on a block must approve of program participation before participants can get cans.
  • Residents can approve of the program for their block without participating (getting their own Philacan bin).
  • Renters need permission from their landlords to participate. You can provide contact information for your landlord on the interest form.
  • Participation is subject to Department of Streets approval.

You can use this interest form to:

  • Request to join the Philacan program.
  • Opt out of the program but support your neighbors’ participation.
  • Opt out of the program and object to your neighbors’ participation.
