The Olney/Chew Avenue corridor connects several neighborhoods, schools, businesses, and transportation hubs. The City is working to make the street safer and better for all people, no matter how they travel.
This project is in the design phase. Funding is still needed for further design and construction. We've planned the following improvements based on feedback from community members and transit riders:

The design phase begins. Initial canvassing and outreach to neighbors takes place. A walking audit of the area is held with stakeholders from RCOs and schools.
Design and engineering work begins. A parking study is conducted.
The project enters the beginning stages of engineering design. A draft of the design is shared with community members via a public event, canvassing, transit rider outreach, and through RCOs.
The draft of the design is revised and finalized. The City continues to seek funding for the next phases of design and construction.
